Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of SootheLove, an early-access service operated in California (“SootheLove,” “we,” or “us”). By creating an account, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement. Keep access to your email and passkeys secure and notify [email protected] if you believe your account was compromised.

Voice authority and consent

You may submit only your own adult voice. Child voices and celebrity, public-figure, deceased-person, or other third-party voices are not accepted. Your account-level consent is governed by the Voice Consent Disclosure and remains active until withdrawn or superseded by a new version. You represent that your recording and requested content do not violate another person’s rights.

Your content and our limited license

You retain ownership of recordings and text you submit. You grant SootheLove a limited, non-exclusive license to host, process, transform, reproduce, and secure that content only as needed to provide the service, enforce these Terms, and comply with law. We never use voice recordings, derived voice profiles, or generated narration to train or fine-tune a model.

Generated narration

Synthetic narration may contain errors, unexpected wording, pronunciation problems, or audio artifacts. Review it before relying on or sharing it. Do not present generated narration as an authentic new statement made by the voice owner.

Acceptable use

• No impersonation, fraud, harassment, deceptive endorsement, political deception, or evasion of safeguards.
• No content that exploits children or violates privacy, publicity, copyright, trademark, or other rights.
• No attempts to access another account, probe the service, exhaust capacity, automate abusive use, or resell access without written permission.

Credits and referrals

Promotional credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred, and may expire if disclosed before issuance. Referral credits are awarded only after the invited member verifies their email and completes a qualifying preview. Duplicate, automated, misleading, or self-referrals may be rejected or reversed.

Early access, changes, and termination

The service is a proof of concept and may change, pause, or end. We may limit or suspend an account when reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, abuse prevention, or service reliability. You may stop using the service at any time and request deletion by contacting [email protected].

Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SootheLove is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, or error-free output. Rights that cannot legally be waived remain in effect.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SootheLove and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or loss of data, goodwill, or profits. Our total liability for claims arising in any 12-month period will not exceed the greater of US$100 or the amount you paid SootheLove in that period. This limit does not apply where prohibited by law.

Indemnity

You agree to defend and indemnify SootheLove from third-party claims arising from content you submit, your misuse of the service, or your violation of these Terms or another person’s rights, to the extent permitted by law.

Governing law and disputes

California law governs these Terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in Santa Clara County, California have exclusive jurisdiction, except where consumer law requires another forum. Before filing a claim, contact [email protected] so we can try to resolve it informally.

Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be shown in the service or sent by email and will apply prospectively. Continued use after the stated effective date means you accept the revised Terms.
