These are the rules for using Soothe Love, a family narration service based in California. By creating an account, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
Three different kinds of audio data
- Source Recording means the recording you make or upload so we can learn the sound of your voice. You own it.
- Voice Profile means the technical representation created from your Source Recording so the private Qwen worker can produce narration. It is personal data tied to your voice.
- Generated Narration means a synthetic preview or story produced by Soothe Love using a Voice Profile and Qwen.
Who may use the service
You must be at least 18. An account may hold recordings from up to two adults. Each adult must be present, record their own Source Recording, and personally authorize the Voice Profile before it can be used. Do not upload a child’s voice, a non-consenting person’s voice, a celebrity’s voice, or a deceased person’s voice. Adults may use finished narration with their families, but children may not create accounts or submit data.
Your voice remains yours
Each voice owner always owns their Source Recording and keeps all rights in their real voice and identity. Each voice owner gives Soothe Love a limited, nonexclusive license to copy and process that Source Recording and Voice Profile only for generation requested through the account, quality checks, customer support, security, and legal compliance. This permission ends when the data is deleted, except for processing already completed and records we must keep by law.
Who owns Generated Narration
To the extent the law allows ownership, Soothe Love owns Generated Narration produced through the service. You receive a perpetual license to listen privately, use it with family, and share it for noncommercial purposes while you follow these Terms. This license covers copies Soothe Love makes available to you; it does not require Soothe Love to offer a download for every narration.
When you share narration, place “Made with Soothe Love” next to the audio, player, or post where a listener can easily see it. Do not remove or hide attribution embedded in the file, player, or sharing metadata.
No commercial use
Do not monetize Generated Narration without written permission. Monetize includes earning or seeking money through ads, sponsorships, paid subscriptions, resale, licensing, paid access, product promotion, or commercial social-media content.
Be honest about synthetic speech
Generated Narration is synthetic. Do not use it to deceive, impersonate, defraud, harass, create a false endorsement, or make it appear that the voice owner really made a statement they did not make. Review audio before sharing it.
Privacy and children
Soothe Love is for adult account holders. An adult may create a story recipient profile using only a made-up nickname and broad age range. Do not submit a child’s voice, full or legal name, exact birth date, photo, contact details, location, or other identifying information. Family listening and an adult-managed recipient profile do not make a child the account holder or voice owner.
Deletion and what happens afterward
- Deleting voice data removes the active Source Recording and Voice Profile and stops future generation until you consent and record again.
- Deleting your account removes active account and voice data after we verify the request. Restricted backup copies expire on the schedule in the Privacy Policy.
- Generated Narration already deleted from your account may no longer be playable there. Lawfully saved copies may continue under the license above, unless that license is suspended for abuse.
Safety and enforcement
We may reject a request, remove shared content we control, limit an account, or suspend the license to Generated Narration when reasonably needed to stop abuse, protect a person, secure the service, or comply with law. We may also reverse fraudulent referral credits.
Credits and service availability
Promotional credits have no cash value and cannot be sold or transferred. Features and availability may change. We will give reasonable notice of material changes when practical.
Service limits
Audio can contain mistakes, odd pronunciation, or artifacts. The service is provided as available. Rights that California consumer law does not allow us to waive still apply. To the extent permitted by law, our total responsibility for a claim is limited to the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us during the previous 12 months.
California law
California law governs these Terms. Unless consumer law requires another location, disputes may be brought in courts in Santa Clara County, California. Contact [email protected] first so we can try to solve the problem informally.
